The coolest thing in Budapest - a huge cathedral. With a lift to boot!
At 1/2000 of a second I can stop water drops. Yipee!
The cathedral also comes in B&W with slight sepia.
Остолопы having fun with a wide lens adapter.
А вон там видно Буду.
This is the big dome you see from the outside. Not so pretty as the one painted inside.
Like so.
Bling!
She is really praying.
Wide, innit?
I hope my clacking noise didn't distract her.
This is the mummified hand of the first King of Hungary - Stephen who died in 1038. The Basilica (Cathedral) is named after him.
Square in front of the cathedral.
Now we decided to go for a walk on the other side of the river. Some guy was taking pictures of this little лужайка with a tripod - why you need a tripod for 1/250 F11 I have no idea.
У всех хороший тонус.
They close the bridge to traffic and turn it into one large tourist fair.
Cool photo exhibit on the side of the bridge - guy takes pictures of Hungarian peasants with the bridge in the background. Then shows how the picture was taken. Pretty cool, if eerie.
This guy put some whistle inside his mouth and was making pretty good noise.
I bought Red and Green. Like the Italian flag. I respect but don't like Italy.
How about a funky bridge?
If you don't like funky, we can do real too.
So I make it to the museum. Turns out I've been there before when I visited Budapest with Zoya in 2000. Still not that interesting but now they charge money. This is from 15 or 16th century. Note the things the invalid uses to get around.
Why is Jesus picking on his holes?
Yikes.
Took the funiculer down.
My green pen is put to use.
Lovely dog that begged us for food in the cafe.
Next to the cafe and the bathhouse, there is a church in the wall. Literally - some cave.
Walking back on another bridge.
